World Premiere at The Den Theatre

Chicago, IL | February 13 - March 15, 2025

This play, following a grad student secretly recording an incriminating meeting with her dean, has a way of getting right under your skin. So, the sound played between the overwhelming discomfort of powerlessness and “throw it back in your face-ness” we crave for any underdog. The confines of the university office setting was paired with lots of computer typing, and page flipping foley, but then things get a little unhinged and thats what I love most. It’s about the degradation of trust, and over the course of this play, a few secret conversations are recorded, which left me with a lot of juicy language to sample into some “I’ll get the last laugh” house music.
