my stuff

Back in 2021, I opened my first TikTok account as a kind of virtual diary—a space to share my writing process with a bunch of strangers on the internet. No pressure, just vibes.

Turns out, people actually liked my musings. But just as things started gaining traction, I got locked out of my account. Classic. So, I did what any artist (or mildly chaotic millennial) would do—I started over. Because we learn, we grow, we change, we move forward.

The internet is the Wild West for musicians, and honestly, the anonymity gave me the confidence to keep sharing. So now, as @officialmrchavez, I’ve set a new challenge for myself: write daily, without judgment, and see what sticks.

Here’s what’s come out of it so far. Take a listen. 🎶

.that one summer.

A few years ago, my bestie Nygel D. Robinson and I coincidentally had time off at the same time. So we essentially locked ourselves in my apartment for a summer to make music—endless, chaotic, magical music. We even roped in some friends for the shenanigans. We sampled tracks, flipped them into new songs, then sampled those to make even more. It was a nonstop creative loop, and I dream about that summer all the time.

These are a few of the results, including “.burn.,” the first song I ever dropped on Spotify.

Pure chaos. Pure joy. ✨🎶
